Fantastic imagery

"Fantastic Imagery" in GALERIE H22 in Wiesbaden

GALERIE H22 invites you to the vernissage of the exhibition “Fantastic Imagery”

on Friday, September 28th, at 7:00 p.m., at Herderstraße 22 in Wiesbaden.

Painting, photography and sculpture by Ursula Gielnik and artists of Galerie H22

The guest artist of the exhibition is Ursula Gielnik from Wiesbaden. Her works, painted in old master techniques, are colourful, surreal landscapes and deep spaces that could have been taken from a strange dream world. The picture objects are clearly, vividly and stand out clearly from the background and seem to be illuminated by a strange magical light.

The exhibition features two life-sized “pollinators” and several small insect women by the sculptor Susan Geel. She draws attention to the problem of pollination of plants when, as is to be feared, there will soon be no more bee colonies. As a provocative thought experiment, Susan Geel offers a "fantastic solution for the future" with her sculptures: bred mutations, half human and half insect, should then take over pollination.

This time Wolfgang Blankes is showing paintings from his surrealist phase. With obscurely alienated, disturbingly disturbing images in a skillfully naturalistic painting technique, he encourages the viewer to ponder and reflect.

Peter Bernhard’s large-format, expressive acrylic paintings, which are situated between abstraction and representation, show mythological scenes and strange figures in fantastic color landscapes.

The exhibition is complemented by photographs by Reinhard Berg and Amador Vallinas sculptures: bizarre figures made from combined found objects.

The exhibition “Fantastic Imagery” is open every Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and lasts until November 10, 2018.

In connection with Tatorte Kunst the exhibition is also open on Sunday afternoon / 28.10. /
